We have just got the official map of what is going on where and it looks like the finish line is down by the skatepark, with the departure point the next day, being about 20 yards from our front door! Plus the ‘Village du Tour’ is situated in front of the train station which is just across the road.

We will be barbecuing all day long, watching events from our garden which possibly has the best vantage point for the whole shebang! So if you are in town stop by and say hello.

Just arrived back in Les Arcs to news that they are opening the lifts a week early, tomorrow in fact!

Plus they have just put this website online : Bike Park Les Arcs
which has details of all the summer facilites, maps etc…

There is also an air bag in Bourg for those wanting to learn how to jump or perfect that back flip!

We are still hanging around in Blighty, the dog training was excellent, expect (we hope) to see a well mannered Vanilla by the time you visit, we have seen off two weddings and a christening, the wedding at Sandhurst was a belter, which saw us and the guys from Rude Chalets having a right old sing song towards the end of the night. Congratulations and all the best for the future go out to Nick and Lisa, whose day was really lovely, an honour to be invited to your special day, and to Emily and Tom, welcome to the extended Hughes family Tom, they are all bonkers!

So that is what we have been up to, we have been getting loads more bookings for the summer, it looks like Bourg is going to be going off! As always find out more about summer things in the area here and more specifically mountain biking here

We are back in the UK doing some family things, having a short break in Wales training the dog and generally seeing some friends, culminating in working on a smoothie stall at Glasto! Then we will be back in Bourg just in time for the lifts to open and our first mountain bikers to arrive.

We are filling up nicely for the summer opening and everything is looking good. We have some new sun loungers in the garden, which is in full bloom at the moment, we have had some lovely warm weather and a couple of barbeques so we are looking forward to getting back.

The rumour mill has it that Les Arcs is opening a week early this summer, so bring your bike here from the 28th June!

It seems that Les Arcs and La Plagne are planning to open earlier next winter too, we will keep you posted on that one too.

Hi everyone,

Well, the season has now finished in Les Arcs and what a winter, loads of snow and plenty of good times, but time waits for no man and the last few weeks saw a plethora of mountain bikers riding from 1600 down to Bourg. Indeed, it seems that at the end of the season, there are more and more bikers putting their skis and snowboards away and making use of the funicular to ride the many trails above Bourg Saint Maurice.

So now we wait for the snow to melt and all the trails to open up, in the meantime, Les Arcs are building a bike park and we are preparing ourselves for the summer, adding more content to the website, new pictures and doing a few jobs around the chalets.

Once again, after some rain yesterday, the temperature dropped and we have seen snow down to 850m, which means plenty of new snow in the resorts, ensuring a great end of season.
